Northern Trust recruits Parker to aid fund admin expansion

Northern Trust has hired Edwin Parker to support the firm’s alternatives business development team as it expands across the UK, Ireland, Luxembourg and the Channel Islands.

In the newly created role Parker will focus on offering hedge fund administration services and its specialist private equity, infrastructure, and real estate fund administration services to fund managers across the region.

Prior to joining Northern Trust, Parker held the role of managing director at Butterfield Fulcrum.

Madeleine Senior, head of sales for asset servicing at Northern Trust in EMEA, said: “Fund managers are faced with a number of pressures – from generating returns for their investors to meeting new regulatory requirements, and reporting on risk management and demonstrating transparency.”

“At Northern Trust, we understand these challenges and are pleased to welcome Parker to our growing team which provides tailored solution and products to support these demands.”

Senior also explained that since the establishment of Northern Trust Hedge Fund Services the firm has gained more than 40 new clients in locations around the world including Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Cayman Islands, Scandinavia and the Asia-Pacific region.
