Northern Trust recruits for Asia-Pac fund services

Northern Trust has appointed Peter Jordan as head of global fund services in Australia and New Zealand.

Jordan, who relocated to Melbourne from London earlier this year, will lead Northern Trust Global Fund Services in Australia and New Zealand, overseeing its asset servicing offerings for investment managers and fund companies.

In his new role, Jordan reports to Peter Cherecwich, head of global fund services and Rohan Singh, country head of Australia and New Zealand.

Asia-Pacific is the fastest growing region for Northern Trust with assets under custody growing at an annual rate of 26 percent from 2008 through 2013, and assets under management growing by 15 percent annually over that five-year period.

Jordan joined Northern Trust in 1992 and was most recently chief administration officer for global fund services and responsible for Northern Trust’s global institutional client relationships.

Prior to this, he was managing director of Northern Trust Ireland where he led the expansion of Northern Trust’s fund administration business across Europe.

Northern Trust has a network of seven offices across Asia-Pacific, most recently opening an office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
