Irish prime minister to speak at conference

Ireland Prime Minister Enda Kenny will be the keynote speaker at the Global Funds Conference in Dublin on 18 June, as confirmed by the Irish Funds Industry Association (IFIA).

The prime minister will discuss the funds industry in Ireland. The conference will also feature addresses from key players in fund management, including Karen Peetz, president of BNY Mellon, and Stephen Forster, CEO of Credit Suisse.

IFIA CEO Pat Lardner will chair the CEO forum. It will focus on opportunities and returns, investor requirements, the current regulatory environment for fund managers, and the future of the industry.

Lardner said: “We are delighted to have the [prime minister] speak at the conference. This year’s conference promises to be a truly international event with global decision makers and international fund managers discussing the key opportunities and challenges facing the industry.”
