Sibos Big Issue speaker announced

Ginni Rometty, chair and CEO of IBM, will be the keynote speaker for the Wednesday Big Issue Debate at Sibos 2016, with a talk on cognitive business and the future of finance.

Rometty will focus on the latest trends in cognitive computing and digital intelligence, discussing the way in which systems that can understand, reason and learn, and be combines with intelligent automation and blockchain technology.

Following the keynote speech Rometty will be joined by Sergio Ermotti, group CEO of UBS, and the pair will discuss the future of the financial landscape with regards to new technology.

This second session will be moderated by Dean Garfield, president and CEO of the Information Technology Industry Council.

Head of Sibos Sven Bossu said: “New technologies are transforming the way banking and financial services firms work.”

He added: “By joining us at Sibos, these two executives bring expert insight into the new age of financial services and how the industry can harness data driven technologies for the benefit of their organisation and customers.”
