BNP Paribas hires financial intermediaries expert

BNP Paribas Securities Services has appointed Andrew Chart as sales manager for financial intermediaries, a new role at the company.

Based in London, the newly-created role will see Chart report to Simon Walker, head of strategic account management for banks and brokers.

Having previously worked at UBS and Societe Generale, Chart has experience in developing and managing international equities, prime brokerage units, exchange-traded commodity derivatives and client relationships.

He is expected to bring to the firm a thorough understanding of global financial market structures and technology, management skills in strategic developments, and specialist knowledge of exchange products, processes and technical application programming interfaces.

Chart’s appointment marks the fifth new addition to BNP Paribas Securities Services in August 2018, following the hiring of Valeria Anderson as senior sales director for asset managers, Barry Kelly as business development manager for asset management, Colm O’Brien as senior sales director for alternative investors and Omar Arti as sales and relationship manager in the Middle East.
