Fund administrator LeverPoint acquires Lamplighter

LeverPoint, a fund administration firm, has acquired Lamplighter Financial for an undisclosed sum.

Lamplighter Financial will boost LeverPoint’s back-office administration and reporting services, specifically SBIC fund reporting, further solidifying its place in the market.

Several Lamplighter employees will join LeverPoint’s existing team of more than 140 professionals.

LeverPoint Management is a US-based fund administration firm with more than $40 billion in assets within private equity, venture capital, real estate, credit and fund of fund clients.

Brian Woodall, CEO of Lamplighter Financial, will serve as director of business development at LeverPoint.

Lamplighter, founded by Woodall in 2011, managed more than $2.8 billion in client assets at the time of acquisition.

Woodall said: “My team and I are excited to join LeverPoint, and begin this next chapter. Combined, we will be able to offer clients a broader array of services, further enhancing the strong focus on client service that both organisations embodied prior to the transaction.”

He added: “I have been impressed with LeverPoint Financial’s consistent dedication to client service and look forward to building on that foundation as the firm continues to grow.”
