Deutsche Bank’s Ying-Ying Tan snapped up by Standard Chartered

Standard Chartered has named Ying-Ying Tan as head of securities services for the South Asia region.

Tan joins from Deutsche Bank, where she served for over 17 years, most recently as managing director and head of securities services for the Asia Pacific APAC region.

In her new role, based in Singapore, Tan will be responsible for driving Standard Chartered’s securities services business in the ASEAN and South Asia region, overseeing overseeing sales, products, and technology and operations.

The appointment is in line with the firm’s growth plan for its securities services business, which includes recruiting experienced professionals in the industry.

Margaret Harwood-Jones, global head of securities services and transaction banking at Standard Chartered, said: “I am very excited to welcome Ying-Ying Tan to Standard Chartered.”

“Securities services is a people business and I am confident that [her] knowledge, expertise and track record in the region will deliver new value to our clients and to our teams.”

In August, Deutsche Bank named Anand Rengarajan as head of securities services for the APAC region.
