BNP Paribas hires new Hong Kong head

BNP Paribas has appointed Julien Kasparian as head of its securities services for Hong Kong.

In his new role, Kasparian will develop relationships with new and existing clients, delivering the firm’s operations and services.

Kasparian replaces Stéphanie Marelle, who has relocated to Paris to take up a new role as global head of compliance for securities services.

He has more than 20 years’ experience working at BNP Paribas securities services in London, where he was most recently served as head of sales and global relationship management.

Philippe Benoît, head of BNP Paribas securities services for Asia Pacific, said: “Julien Kasparian’s experience as a leader and his extensive client relationship and operational management provide the ideal platform upon which to build on our existing client partnerships and seize further opportunities in the region.”

Kasparian added: “The Hong Kong office has experienced tremendous growth in recent years and I look forward to working with the team to help our clients succeed.”

“Ensuring a great client experience and continuing our digital transformation remain my top priorities and I look forward to the challenge of growing our leadership positions in Hong Kong.”
