I am working with a major banking client to source 4 Senior Java developers with 7+ years of proven experience developing in core Java is required to join a high profile and ‘critical to bank’ programme developing new functionality, enhancing existing functionality and supporting country wide deployment on the rollout of a major application.

The Java Developer requires the ability to provide hands on Java development working in a challenging environment using best approaches and patterns to implement code based on user requirements. Java Developer will be working in a fast-paced Agile environment with a team of Project Managers, Business Analysts, Java/CMS and UI Developers, Testers, in-house business users through the Product Owners. Working as key part of the scrum team help to define and estimate user stories. Define and build components as per User stories and manage integration of UI with CDD service components.

The Java Developers should be strong core Java developer and have good experience working within a strict Agile/Scrum environment.

Strong Core Java development skills

Experience in Java/J2EE Technologies – Java servlets, JDBC, XML

Experience in Spring / Spring Batch / Sprint Integration

Experience of automated testing

Experience in REST

Experience in Maven

Knowledge of an MVC framework (Spring)

WAS (WebSphere Application Server)

Database knowledge (SQL/Oracle)

Experience with web apps is desirable

Knowledge of Agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)

CDD / Risk / Regulatory / KYC experience advantageous
