ISITC Europe launches European Council initiative

ISITC Europe has established a series of European Councils intended to share information about country-specific challenges and innovations.

Fabian Vandenreydt, director of community development for Continental Europe, will lead the initiative. Vandenreydt has more than three decades of industry experience, and founded FabianVDR Advisory Services in 2017. In addition to this, he serves as an advisor for a number of firms including trade and development company OCO Global, software provider Wand, and sustainable finance technology organisation Greenomy.

Commenting on the initiative, Gary Wright, ISITC Europe founder and director of ISITC Europe CIC, says: “ISITC Europe needed to change to meet the many challenges faced by our members in the future, not least the introduction of DLT, digital assets and the restructuring of capital markets.

“Our approach is to collaborate with other trade associations to facilitate a free flow of information, from issuer through to investor. Across the EU we aim to bring together leading experts in their field, to share country specific industry challenges and to utilise their knowledge and ideas on the introduction of innovative technologies, to facilitate a deeper understanding across all the actors in the capital markets.”

Vandenreydt states: "Having worked with many different global stakeholders of the capital markets industry, it is a pleasure to become a member of the ISITC Europe community and contribute to expand its membership in continental Europe.

“I am keen to use my experience with like-minded professionals to foster dialogue and innovation in relation to the advancement of key industry best practices."
