Monex will migrate its current JASDECPS system to Broadridge’s cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform, scheduled for May 2026.
This move signals the company’s efforts to meet the demands of the JASDEC2025 market initiative, while offering better operational efficiency and resiliency.
Monex says that the transition will also enable the firm to “focus resources on business growth rather than IT management.”
Motoki Kitamura, expert director of operations at Monex, comments: “This transition to a SaaS environment will allow Monex to provide more stable services and flexibly adapt to Japan's evolving financial landscape.”
David Runacres, president of APAC and senior country officer of Japan at Broadridge, adds: “Monex’s decision to transition to our cloud-based SaaS platform marks a significant step in optimising their core operations and increasing operational resiliency while remaining compliant with evolving market standards.”
JASDEC is Japan's central securities depository (CSD) for equities, corporate bonds, and investment trust settlements.
