BNY’s CEO Robin Vince has been elected Chairman of the firm’s board of directors.

Vince has been CEO since 2022 and in this new additional role, he will set the agenda for the board to drive strategy and manage risk.

The move sees the current Chairman Joe Echevarria become lead independent director. He will be responsible for liaising between independent directors and the Chairman and CEO.

Vince says: "I am confident in our company's trajectory and see tremendous opportunity ahead as we continue to deliver for our clients, embrace new ways of working and come together as one BNY."

The moves will become effective on 1 September 2025.
