Northern Trust has been granted a contract to deliver custodian and related services to the National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA), Ireland’s State body covering the administration of public assets and liabilities.

The corporation will function as the outsourced asset servicing partner for the recently established Future Ireland Fund and the Infrastructure, Climate and Nature Fund.

Northern Trust will provide the two long-term savings funds with a range of solutions including custody, front office solutions, securities lending, currency management, and financial accounting.

James Wright, head of asset owners, EMEA at Northern Trust, adds: “We are delighted to be providing the NTMA with tailored solutions to support the launch of two long term savings funds established by the Irish Government.

“At Northern Trust, we understand large complex asset owners' needs and focus on building resilient, sustainable models, incorporating robust governance.”
