Chris Lloyd has joined Marex’s global capital introduction team.
He will be based in London and will be focusing on the EMEA region.
Lloyd has over 10 years’ of experience in hedge fund manager selection and co-investments and, according to Marex, has strong relationships with allocators globally.
He will be joining from Andromeda Capital Management, where he was a partner in the business development team.
Prior to that, Lloyd was a director and investment committee member at M&G Alternatives, where, according to Marex, he sourced new investment ideas, oversaw the hedge fund portfolio and led on strategic objectives.
His career has also included senior allocator roles at Windmill Hill Asset Management (Rothschild Foundation) and Islandbridge Capital.
Jack Seibald, global co-head of prime services and outsourced trading at Marex, says via LinkedIn: “We’re pleased to welcome Chris Lloyd to our growing global capital introduction team, joining us in London with a focus on EMEA. Chris brings a wealth of allocator-side experience, having spent over a decade selecting hedge fund managers, constructing portfolios and advising on co-investments for family offices and institutional investors.
“His understanding of how investment decisions are made — and what investors are really looking for — adds depth to our offerings as we support managers through institutional engagement.”
Lloyd adds: “I’m excited to have joined the Marex capital introduction team in London. I’ll be focused on EMEA and working closely alongside our global cap intro and prime services teams to support our clients.”
