Bahuguna has been named as global co-chief investment officer by Northern Trust Asset Management.
She will work alongside global co-chief investment officer Christian Roth, and supersedes Michael Hunstad, who was announced as president of Northern Trust Asset Management.
Bahuguna will supervise Northern Trust Asset Management’s range of investment abilities including index, fundamental, quantitative, and tax-advantaged strategies to active, multi-asset solutions and alternative investments.
Working with Roth, she will manage investment performance, process and philosophy, while steering an investment team of more than 300 professionals internationally.
During her 27 year background working in the investment industry, Bahuguna established and supported global investment teams and generated multi-asset strategies using equities, fixed income, and alternative investments.
In her most recent role she was deputy global chief investment officer for Northern Trust Asset Management, CIO of multi-asset investments, and head of retirement and non-for-profit OCIO investment teams.
Based in Chicago, Baghuna will be a member of the Asset Management Leadership Group, Investment Policy Committee, and Risk Committee.
