CMU OmniClear and SIX announce a new link directly connecting CMU members to Swiss and Spanish markets, active as of 29 July.

For the first time the link will also bring equity post-trade services provided by CMU OmniClear.

According to the firm, the collaboration aims to facilitate Chinese outbound investments into markets beyond Hong Kong and Asia.

Stanley Chan, group CEO of CMU OmniClear Holdings and CEO of CMU OmniClear, says: “We are extending our asset servicing platform beyond fixed income.”

He adds: “It is a new chapter in our journey to become a one-stop multi-asset class post-trade securities infrastructure enabling more comprehensive product and client coverage.”

Francisco Bejar, head of custody at SIX, says: “By combining CMU OmniClear’s role as a gateway for institutional demand with the international custody and post-trade infrastructure of SIX, we are helping to create a trusted and scalable model for connecting investors to European markets.”
