Euroclear has completed the acquisition of a 90 per cent stake in Inversis from Banca March.
The firm says this marks an important step in the growth of its funds business, strengthens Euroclear FundsPlace, expands its presence in southern Europe, and companies Inversis’ local franchise funds and investment services with Euroclear’s scale, infrastructure, and international ecosystem.
The acquisition of Inversis builds on other recent acquisitions and investments Euroclear has made, continuing to expand the firm’s end-to-end funds offering and strengthening its position in key European markets.
Inversis will continue to operate as a distinct entity within the Euroclear Group, maintaining its portfolio of investment services, as well as its market presence, client relationships, and local expertise.
Speaking on the transaction, Valérie Urbain, CEO of Euroclear, says: “Together, we are well positioned to support a more connected and efficient European investment ecosystem and create new opportunities for clients, distributors, and asset managers across Europe.”
Alberto del Cid, CEO of Inversis, adds: “Joining the Euroclear Group marks an exciting new chapter for Inversis. We remain the same trusted partner for our clients, supported by the same teams, expertise, and commitment to service that have defined our success over the past two decades.
“Clients will benefit from the same service model while gaining access over time to broader connectivity, enhanced distribution opportunities and the scale of Euroclear’s international funds ecosystem.”
