Openstone, a private assets specialist, and Fundcraft France, a portfolio management company, have launched Openstone Infraworld, a French Fonds Professionnel Spécialisé (FPS), structured as an evergreen, open-ended fund dedicated to global private infrastructure.
Managed by Fundcraft France and advised by Openstone, the fund provides access, through a single subscription, to four identified target funds managed by Macquarie Asset Management, Partners Group, and Ares Management.
The partnership between Openstone and Fundcraft France is based on a complementary allocation of responsibilities.
Openstone advises the fund and is involved in identifying and monitoring the underlying strategies.
As the management company, Fundcraft assumes responsibility for managing the fund and ensuring compliance with its regulatory framework, operating rules, and control procedures.
Nadim Takchi, CEO of Openstone says: “With Openstone Infraworld, we are not offering simple exposure to infrastructure, but an allocation constructed around complementary strategies.
“Debt can contribute to income generation, equity to long-term value creation, while secondaries provide access to portfolios that are already invested. The evergreen format gives this allocation the ability to evolve and broaden over time.”
Thomas Ibanez, country head at Fundcraft France, adds: “The creation of Openstone Infraworld illustrates our ability to support investment specialists in the structuring and deployment of sophisticated solutions.
“Our role is to provide the fund with a robust management, governance, and control framework, supporting a clearly defined strategy and its investors.”
