Mak joins BNP Paribas in Asia

BNP Paribas Securities Services has appointed Connie Mak as head of relationship management, North Asia for asset owners, asset managers & alternatives.

Based in Hong Kong, Mak brings almost 20 years of experience in the securities services industry working with institutional investors in the Asia region.

Prior to joining BNP Paribas Securities Services, she was an executive director at J.P. Morgan Securities Services in Hong Kong, where over a 16-year career, she held a wide range of senior responsibilities including client consulting, network management, client servicing and relationship management.

Before JP Morgan, she worked with HSBC International Trustee for three years in Hong Kong, prior to which Connie spent two years in the legal profession in the UK.

"We are delighted to announce this senior appointment as we continue implementing our strategic plan in the Asia Pacific region to accelerate our strong business growth among institutional investor clients” said Lawrence Au, head of Asia Pacific & global executive committee member, BNP Paribas Securities Services.

“In this newly created position, Connie will lead our relationship management efforts for North Asia to provide a full range of unique global/local solutions to address the specific needs of major institutional investor clients while leveraging on our global systems platform and infrastructure to enable their regional and global ambitions.”
