RBC appointed custodian for Spanish banks

Royal Bank of Canada’s (RBC’s) Investor and Treasury Services have been selected to act as global custodian for a trio of Spanish banks; Banco Caminos, Banco Medilanum and Banco Madrid.

RBC’s investor and treasury service has had a presence in Spain since 1989 when it began providing custody under the Bancoval brand.

José María Alonso-Gamo, managing director of RBC investor and treasury services in Spain, said:
“The appointment by Banco Caminos, Banco Mediolanum and Banco Madrid is an important development for us in Spain, adding to our existing client base in the region, and further evidence of our expertise in custody and asset servicing. We look forward to working with them and supporting their business objectives.”
