HSBC has securities services reshuffle

Allegra Berman and Richard Godfrey have been appointed as global co-heads of HSBC Securities Services (HSS), effective from 1 October, and subject to regulatory approval.

Based in London, they will report to Samir Assaf, chief executive of global banking and markets.

They will sit on the global banking and markets executive committee.

Berman joined HSBC from UBS in 2013 as global head of global banking’s public sector group.

In 2016, Berman assumed the additional responsibility of EMEA head of global banking’s financial institutions group.

Replacements for her global banking positions and Godfrey’s chief operating officer (COO) role are yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, John Lloyd will continue as acting HSS COO.
