KVG Universal-Investment bolsters team

Universal-Investment has appointed Christian Reitz as head of digital transformation, effective immediately.

In this newly created role, Reitz will be responsible for the group's digitisation strategy and the implementation of new technologies, solutions and relevant services.

Reitz will also be the second managing director of the subsidiary Universal-Investment-IT Services, next to Stefan Krapf.

Before moving to Universal-Investment, Reitz worked at the fund company, Union Investment for three years.

Reitz was a co-founder of the technology company, Netbiscuits where he was also chief technology officer for more than 14 years.

Michael Reinhard, COO at Universal-Investment, commented: "With Christian Reitz, we are welcoming a renowned industry expert who will bring us a step closer to reaching our objectives. I am delighted to be working with him and making Universal-Investment a digital pioneer in the fund industry.”

Commenting on his new role, Reitz said: "The technological changes of the past and the future offer enormous opportunities for the financial industry.
