ETF Securities partners with HSBC on custody and ETF administration

ETF Securities has selected HSBC as global custodian and fund administrator across its range of equity products.

The mandate covers middle-office, custody and fund administration services administered by the Australian provider of exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

ETF Securities launched the world’s first gold-backed ETF in 2003.

The firm says it selected HSBC based on its ability to provide a comprehensive solution offering a global middle-office, custody footprint and ETF administration, underpinned by innovative technology.

Commenting on the partnership, Enzo Cotroneo, head of securities services, Australia and New Zealand at HSBC, says: “We are excited to be partnering with ETF Securities as it leverages the full suite of our custody and fund administration services along with the broader universal banking capabilities offered by HSBC.”
