U.S. Bank enhances custody reporting and alternative asset analytics

U.S. Bank has released a new package of investment lifecycle data metrics based, it claims, on new automated data extraction technology.

The Minneapolis-based bank indicates that this will support faster reporting and improved analytics for private equity, hedge fund and other alternative investment fund data.

It reports that it has established a new process for extracting data from structured and unstructured fund documents, enabled partly by the bank’s proprietary Complex Assets technology which simplifies the extraction process and integrates alternative investment data more efficiently into client reporting.

Dale Smith, head of U.S. Bank Trust Technology and Support Services, says that efficient data from manager reports can be highly challenging, particularly as it relates to alternative investments. “Our new application helps address this issue. It benefits U.S. Bank’s custody clients by streamlining and enhancing our service model, allowing us to deliver client reporting faster and more accurately than ever before,” he says.

“The application benefits U.S. Bank’s custody clients by streamlining and enhancing our service model, allowing us to get our clients’ reports faster and more accurately than ever before,” adds Smith. “It further demonstrates U.S. Bank’s commitment to deploying document digitisation technologies to this market.”
