Sage Capital Management, provider of an institutional digital asset operating system, has chosen the financial infrastructure platform OpenPayd to extend its banking capabilities.
According to Sage Capital, its clients will gain access to fast settlement, enhanced technology, and virtual International Bank Account Numbers (vIBANs).
The integration gives institutions broader fiat access, expanding US dollar, euro, and pound sterling payments as they move money into and out of digital asset markets.
Sage Capital has SWIFT, SEPA, and Faster Payments accounts supported through OpenPayd, allowing for client payment collections and fiat settlements to liquidity providers, the firm says.
Hedge funds, asset managers, trading firms, brokers, and corporate and digital asset treasuries will benefit from great optionality in fund activity and settlement with liquidity providers.
Commenting on the integration, Lux Thiagarajah, chief commercial officer at OpenPayd, says: “Institutional access to digital assets depends on being able to move money efficiently on both sides of the trade.
“Sage Capital Management is simplifying how institutions access digital asset markets, and our role is to provide the fiat connectivity that supports that proposition.”
Nathan Sage, CEO at Sage Capital Management, adds: “Our focus remains on providing clients with fast, flexible, secure and seamless access to global banking networks, enabling clients to move quickly between fiat and digital assets, and manage payments and FX.”
