State Street to deliver investment services for Columbia Threadneedle

Columbia Threadneedle Investments has appointed State Street Corporation to deliver expanded fund accounting, administration and custody services for Columbia Threadneedle’s pooled funds including ETFs, in the US and Europe with US$431 billion in assets.
As part of the expansion, in the US more than 100 Columbia Threadneedle employees, who supply fund accounting and administrative services to the company’s US pooled funds, will be moved to equivalent roles at State Street.
In Europe, Columbia Threadneedle will additionally merge fund accounting, administration, depositary and custody services for its UK and Luxembourg-based pooled funds with State Street.
State Street has given back office services for different legacy Columbia Threadneedle mutual funds since the 1990s.
It has serviced back and middle office business from Columbia Threadneedle’s acquisition of BMO Financial Group’s Asset Management business in 2021.
