Former BNY Mellon CEO Daron Pearce launches new company for institutional investors

Daron Pearce, former CEO of asset servicing Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) for BNY Mellon, has launched Daron Pearce Associates, a new company focusing on institutional investors.

The new company aims to enable institutional investors, particularly asset managers and pension funds to optimise their strategic partnerships.

Pearce says he is also looking to engage with the “freshest thinking” on key industry themes and issues.

The three core focus areas include advising boards and industry participants on governance, strategy and execution, and driving an informed environmental, social and governance (ESG) agenda with a focus on common standards.

The third area of focus is creating connectivity across the #institutional investor landscape in the US and EMEA.

Commenting on his new company, Pearce says: “As the former EMEA head of BNY Mellon's largest business unit and global leader of their financial institutions’ client group, I'm uniquely positioned to address the issues our industry faces and I'm not afraid of challenging conventional wisdom to improve investment outcomes, enhance operational efficiency and achieve healthier business margins.”

“I've been a regular and passionate advocate for global ESG standards so that fund managers and end investors alike have a robust framework to determine the efficacy of their impact investing,” adds Pearce.

Pearce departed BNY Mellon earlier this month after working there for 20 years.
