Deutsche Bank set to acquire Numis

Deutsche Bank has reached an agreement on the acquisition of UK corporate broking and advisory house Numis Corporation.

The transaction is expected to complete in Q4 of 2023, subject to regulatory and shareholder approval.

Numis will be combined with Deutsche Bank’s existing UK and Ireland corporate finance business, enhancing the bank’s presence in the UK corporate client segment and accelerating its Global Hausbank strategy.

Following the acquisition, Deutsche Bank will hold a prominent position in areas including corporate broking, strategic advisory, equity and debt capital markets and equity research, the company says.

Fabrizio Campelli, head of corporate bank and investment bank at Deutsche Bank, comments: “This transaction is aligned to our Global Hausbank strategy and has the potential to unlock significant value within both the Numis and Deutsche Bank franchises.

“We have been evaluating how to accelerate the growth of our business in the UK, and Numis represents a compelling strategic fit. The combination enables us to realise greater revenue opportunities across our shared client base and to deepen our engagement with UK corporates.”
