Bitso offers new service in Latin America
03 June 2025 Latin America

Bitso, a crypto-powered financial services platform, has introduced a new feature to customers in Mexico and Argentina.
The feature will facilitate the sending and receiving of US dollars directly from the United States via a virtual US bank account. This will be offered at no additional cost, which the company says will help simplify and broaden access to cross-border financial flows.
The company created the solution in response to the increase in remittance flows to Latin America, with Mexico remaining the largest recipient in the region. Bitso hopes the new feature will provide an alternative to traditional remittance services.
On the solution, Ximena Salgado, vice president of product at Bitso, says: “It reflects our goal of building inclusive financial infrastructure that gives individuals access to global capital in a secure, simple, and cost-effective way, so they can make the most of their finances.”
