J.P. Morgan has appointed Sam Cauvain-Welsh as a board member of the International Securities Services Association (ISSA).

Cauvain-Welsh has more than a decade of experience across product management, market infrastructure, technology, and data within the securities services industry.

His experience includes custody settlements, asset servicing, cash, and digital assets, as well as network management, data, and AI.

He joined J.P. Morgan in 2010 and has since held a number of leadership roles in product management and product development within the firm’s Securities Services business.

According to the company, Cauvain-Welsh has contributed to platform enhancements, operational efficiency initiatives, and the development of scalable solutions for market participants.

Margaret Harwood-Jones, board chair at ISSA, says: “We are delighted to welcome Sam to the ISSA board. His strong product expertise, deep understanding of global custody operations, and leadership in emerging technologies such as data and AI will be invaluable as ISSA continues to support the evolution of the global securities services industry.”

Cauvain-Welsh adds: “I look forward to working with fellow board members and ISSA’s wider community to contribute to the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of post-trade and market infrastructure.”
