Waystone is supporting the launch of a new Luxembourg-based Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS) structure for Mackenzie Investments’ Quantitative Emerging Markets Large Cap Strategy.
The strategy has been launched through Waystone’s UCITS hosting platform in Luxembourg and will be made available to investors in selected European markets and the United Kingdom.
Waystone is providing governance, administration, risk, and compliance services for the fund structure as part of the partnership.
According to the firms, the launch reflects growing institutional demand for quantitative investment strategies and expanded access to European distribution channels through UCITS structures.
The Mackenzie Quantitative Emerging Markets Large Cap UCITS provides exposure to large and mid-cap equities across emerging and frontier markets.
Simon Bedard, head of EMEA Institutional at Mackenzie Investments says: “We’re pleased to now offer qualified investors and institutions access to the strategies and performance from the Mackenzie GQE team.
“This is another example of our ongoing commitment to increasing our presence in Europe and the UK, allowing us to reach more investors in global markets.”
Denis Harty, country head of Continental Europe at Waystone comments: “We are delighted to partner with Mackenzie Investments as they bring their quantitative expertise to the European market utilising Waystone’s UCITS hosting infrastructure.
“This launch underscores the strength of our partnership and reflects the growing demand from institutional asset managers for efficient access to global investors through well-governed UCITS structures.”
