BNP Paribas appoints Kerkhoff and Gurd

BNP Paribas Securities Services has appointed Robert van Kerkhoff as head of institutional investors sales and client coverage, and Alison Gurd as head of client experience and servicing — both within the global client coverage and territories department
Kerkhoff and Gurd will be reporting to Alessandro Gioffreda, head of client coverage and territories, Securities Services.
In his new role, Kerkhoff will oversee the commercial strategy and global client coverage of the institutional investor franchise, with a focus on driving growth through BNP Paribas’ integrated banking model.
Based in Madrid, he will work closely with the bank’s financial institutions coverage, global markets and global banking teams.
Kerkhoff has more than 25 years of industry experience and has held a number of senior positions within BNP Paribas.
Most recently, he served as regional head of Luxembourg, Ireland, and the Channel Islands for Securities Services, as well as CEO of BNP Paribas Luxembourg Branch.
Meanwhile, Gurd will lead the business’ end-to-end client services strategy, overseeing global client-facing and proposal teams to ensure consistent delivery and relationship management standards.
She is based in London and brings more than 35 years of experience in the securities services industry, says the firm.
Prior to her appointment, Gurd was country head and head of Securities Services for BNP Paribas in the Channel Islands.
