Hazeltree has welcomed Derek Eassey to the team as senior director of human resources.
Based in New York, he has built his career around helping organisations grow stronger teams, scalable people practices, and thriving workplace cultures.
Before he joined Hazeltree, Essay worked at Paradigm as vice president of people, as well as at Mechanism Ventures as vice president of people.
Prior to that, Essay worked at HUMAN as director of people operations, and at Brandwatch as vice president of the people team and as a people team manager in North America and LatAm.
Recently, he has been advising early-stage startups — partnering with founders and executive teams on talent acquisition, organisational design, leadership development, and HR strategy.
He has a bachelor of arts in communications from Loyola University of Chicago.
