BNY’s Sahota departs after more than two decades

Rupinder Sahota has departed BNY?? after more than 22 years with the firm.
Most recently serving as director and chief financial officer for EMEA Asset Servicing, Sahota spent more than 15 years in the role, having been appointed in June 2011.
He joined the company in August 2003 as a financial analyst and product controller before becoming a project manager in 2005.
Prior to joining BNY, Sahota worked as a management accountant at Smith & Williamson??.
During his tenure, Sahota experienced several major milestones in the organisation’s history, having started his career with Mellon, later moved to Bank of New York, and subsequently been part of the merger that formed BNY.
Announcing his departure on LinkedIn, Sahota says: “After 21 years, it feels like the right time for a new challenge, new opportunities, and a new adventure.”
He further adds: “What I will miss most are the people. The friendships, support, laughter, teamwork, and shared experiences built over more than two decades are something I will always cherish.”
Sahota has not yet announced his next role.
