Suntera Global, a global independent provider of bespoke fund, corporate, and private wealth services, has appointed Lucas Ting as client services director, based in Hong Kong.

In his new role, Ting will help drive forward Suntera’s ambitions to further expand its client reach through both its Hong Kong and Singapore offices, playing a key role in implementing the firm’s business development strategy and enhancing its private wealth and corporate services proposition across the Asian market.

Ting has more than 13 years of experience supporting the needs of clients across multiple international markets, including Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, the UK, and the US.

His broad perspective and deep understanding of multijurisdictional needs will further support Suntera’s growth across its global footprint, the firm notes.

In particular, he has specialist expertise in developing bespoke wealth solutions involving trusts, foundations, and insurance structures to deliver the tax, asset protection, and intergenerational wealth transfer objectives of a global client base.

Ting joins Suntera from a global professional services firm in Hong Kong, where he advised family offices on the integration of Hong Kong and cross-border wealth management plans.

Commenting on the appointment, David Hudson, CEO of Suntera Global, says: “We remain fully focused on growing and enhancing our Hong Kong private wealth and corporate services proposition, and Lucas’s appointment is a reflection of that intent.

“He brings with him considerable international experience and expertise from his previous roles and will play a key role in driving forward our business development strategy in the Asian market.”
