Qapture Investments has completed the acquisition of Flammarion Partners and integrated the onchain yield strategies and operational infrastructure of Hermetik Trading Technologies.

Flammarion Partners, a British Virgin Islands company registered as an Approved Manager by the BVI Financial Services Commission, has been renamed Qapture Investments (BVI).

The entity will act as investment manager for Qapture’s Bermuda-domiciled funds and separately managed accounts.

Under the BVI Approved Manager regime, Qapture can manage professional funds and discretionary managed accounts with up to US$400 million in aggregate assets.

The firm said the acquisition expands its regulatory footprint as it works towards obtaining an investment-business licence from the Bermuda Monetary Authority and establishing a Bermuda-domiciled Segregated Accounts Company.

Separately, Qapture has acquired the onchain yield strategies and operational infrastructure of Canadian DeFi technology company Hermetik Trading Technologies.

Hermetik founder Brendan MacNeil has joined Qapture as head of DeFi and will sit on the firm’s Research and Investment Committees.

MacNeil will lead the development of Qapture’s onchain strategies and product initiatives.

The integration brings Hermetik’s systems and infrastructure into Qapture’s platform, including capabilities covering yield optimisation, risk management, and automated execution.

According to Qapture, the acquisition adds Hermetik’s three-year track record in onchain yield strategies to the firm’s existing eight-year track record in directional digital asset strategies.

Daniel Pye, president and COO at Qapture, says: “Brendan’s track record of designing reliable onchain strategies aligns perfectly with our vision of offering next-generation products as on-chain asset managers.”

MacNeil adds: “Digital assets are going through a generational inflection point — evolving from speculation to sophisticated asset management strategies.

“Combined with Hermetik’s onchain yield strategies, there is a real opportunity here to capture the institutional transition from traditional to on-chain markets.”
