Clearstream, Deutsche Börse Group’s post-trade business, and Brookfield, a global alternative asset manager, have partnered to expand investor access into private markets.
The firms explain that through this collaboration, Brookfield’s Luxembourg private market funds, including infrastructure, private credit, and private equity, will be accessible via Clearstream’s fund distribution platform.
By integrating Brookfield’s fund suite into Clearstream’s distribution and order-routing infrastructure, fund distributors, private banks, and wealth managers can access alternative funds with the same standardisation, operational efficiency, and settlement traditionally associated with mutual funds, says the firms.
Commenting on the partnership, Moritz Dechow, head of distribution for Clearstream Fund Services, says: “Expanding our private markets network is central to our ambition to empower wealth managers and distributors with the tools they need to navigate investments.”
Tata Newbery, managing director in the legal and regulatory group for Brookfield’s Private Wealth group, adds: “Clearstream’s established reach across global private banking and wealth channels, combined with its robust operational infrastructure, makes them an ideal partner.
“Together, we look forward to making Brookfield’s institutional-quality private market strategies a standard component of wealth portfolios.”
