IQ-EQ appoints head of Caribbean team

IQ-EQ has appointed Cory Thackeray as head of the company's Caribbean team, a recently created regional leadership position.

Based in the Cayman office, Thackeray will be responsible for expanding IQ-EQ’s presence in the region and strengthening collaborations between the company’s Caribbean offices in Cayman, Curaçao, and Bermuda.

Overseeing strategy, operations, and performance, Thackeray will also be working to create a Caribbean service platform with multi-jurisdictional capabilities. This will help IQ-EQ to provide bespoke specialist solutions to asset managers, banks, and financial institutions in the region.

Prior to this appointment, Thackeray served as chief financial officer at crypto investment and trading firm CrossTower. Before CrossTower, Thackeray was senior managing director at State Street Alternative Investment Solutions.

Mark Fordyce, regional CEO of the Americas at IQ-EQ, says: “As head of the region, Cory will translate business plans into local strategy and play a key role in developing and delivering both organic and inorganic growth plans in the region. I am certain Cory has the expertise and skills needed to excel in the role as we focus on growing our presence and service offering to our regional clients.”
