Fiona Horsewill swaps Citi for HSBC

HSBC has appointed Fiona Horsewill as global head of securities services.

Based in London, Horsewill will report directly to Patrick George, global head of markets and securities services. She will also be a member of the markets and securities services executive committee.

Horsewill joins HSBC from Citi, where she was most recently global head of data and digital for securities services.

Prior to joining Citi in 2017, Horsewill spent seven years at Northern Trust, holding a number of senior leadership roles, including global head of product for asset servicing.

Horsewill also ran investment operations, with responsibility for major transformational programmes, at both Lehman Brothers Asset Management and Insight Investment.

Commenting on her new role, Horsewill says: “It’s a real privilege to be joining HSBC. I look forward to leading securities services and working with colleagues around the world to build on the progress made in digitising our capabilities and evolving our platform proposition for clients.”

Patrick George, global head of markets and securities services at HSBC, says: “It’s great to welcome Fiona to the HSBC family. Fiona’s significant experience in digital, data and transformation will be instrumental in taking our digital capabilities to the next level for securities services and growing the business.”
