Amanda Chen appointed head of securities for Deutsche Bank in Taiwan

Deutsche Bank has appointed Amanda Chen as head of securities services for Taiwan. She will report to Tony Chao, head of security services for North Asia.

In her new role, Chen will prioritise the bank’s local growth strategy, expanding client relationships and further deepening engagement with regulators. She will be responsible for one of the bank’s key APAC markets and will have oversight of its products and operations.

Based in Taiwan, Chen has 25 years of industry experience and was recently chief operating officer for Taiwan at Eastspring Asset Management. She was previously the head of operations at J.P. Morgan Asset Management for Taiwan and China.

Chao says: “We are confident that [Chen’s] significant industry experience, gained on both the sell side and buy side, will position her strongly to grow and transform our franchise in Taiwan. Amanda’s leadership will ensure that we are offering our clients best in-class service and operational excellence, in what is an ever evolving and complex investment environment.”

Cynthia Chan, chief country officer for Taiwan comments: “Amanda’s appointment demonstrates our commitment to securities services as a core product offering for our clients. We are focused on differentiating Deutsche Bank in the market with our broad solutions and local expertise, and Amanda will lead this from a securities services perspective.”
