Waystone, a provider of specialist services to the asset management industry, has appointed Richard Larnder as chief financial officer.
In his new role, Larnder will lead Waystone’s financial strategy as the business says it continues to strengthen its global platform and support clients across an increasingly complex regulatory and operating environment.
Larnder brings over 20 years of experience operating within complex international services organisations, with deep expertise across financial strategy, governance, capital management, and M&A.
He has a particular focus on building scalable finance functions that support sustainable growth.
Most recently, Larnder served as chief strategy and transformation officer at Aztec Group and chief financial officer at Equiom Group, before which he held senior roles at Värde Partners and EY.
Sanjiv Sawhney, group CEO at Waystone, says: “We’re delighted to welcome Richard to Waystone at a pivotal moment in our growth journey.
“His extensive experience across financial strategy, governance and international operations, combined with a proven track record in building scalable finance functions, will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen our global platform and support clients in an increasingly complex environment.”
Larnder adds: “I’m thrilled to join Waystone at such an exciting point in its growth story. The company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality solutions to investment managers globally.
“I look forward to working closely with Sanjiv and the team to further strengthen Waystone’s financial strategy and ensure the business is well positioned for the next phase of expansion.”
