SimCorp has made two senior product leadership appointments effective immediately.

Gareth Morris has been appointed head of Portfolio Management and Trading.

Morris will lead the vision and strategy for SimCorp One's portfolio management and trading capabilities, and according to the firm, brings front office product experience and a sharp instinct for the workflows that matter most to chief investment officers, portfolio managers, and traders.

He has joined SimCorp from BlackRock, where he spent 16 years in the Aladdin business, most recently as managing director and global head of Product for Aladdin Portfolio Management, overseeing the tools used to analyse and implement investment decisions at scale across asset classes.

Kate Ryan has joined as head of Product Design, where she will drive the design system and partner across product and engineering to make the SimCorp One experience more coherent, modern, and intuitive.

Ryan joins SimCorp from S&P Global, where she served as head of Product Design and Performance for Enterprise Solutions.

Both leaders will report to Iyan Adewuya, chief product officer at SimCorp.

Commenting on the appointments, Adewuya says: “Investment firms are looking for technology that brings together portfolio intelligence, AI-powered decision support and execution in a single, connected experience.

“That is where we are taking SimCorp One, and it is where we are investing. Gareth and Kate bring the product leadership and craft to help us deliver world-class front-office capabilities and keep raising the bar on the platform our clients rely on to make better investment decisions, improve operating efficiency and scale with confidence.”
