GBST has appointed Ian Jack as CEO to its capital markets business in the UK.

Jack brings 15 years of experience in the financial services industry to the team, with a particular focus in front- and back-office financial networks.

He most recently served as global head of infrastructure at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

Based in London, Jack will report to group CEO Stephen Lake and focus on further growing the company’s capital markets business into new markets throughout Europe.

Lake commented: “We are delighted to have Jack heading up our capital markets UK team.”

He added: “His in-depth experience in financial networks is combined with an incredible vision for where the industry is going, which fits perfectly with GBST’s philosophy for product development and commitment to global growth.”
