Vistra bolsters Brazil presence with Jotaerre acquisition

Vistra, a provider of advisory and administrative support to fund, corporate, capital market and private wealth clients, has enhanced its presence in Brazil with the acquisition of Jotaerre.

Based in San Paulo, Jotaerre is a specialist market leader in Brazil for services tax (ISS) calculation and collection/payment.

The acquisition will provide Vistra with enhanced tax expertise and services and is set to expand its scope of support to international and local clients with solutions in company formation and management, secretarial, tax and accounting services.

Vistra has appointed Marcelo Borgheti to lead its expanded business as country managing director of the firm’s Brazil operations.

Borgheti has worked as managing director at Vistra Brazil for two years, based in São Paulo, Brazi.

Scott Kraemer, regional managing director, Americas at Vistra, comments: “By bringing together the two teams, our clients in the region will gain unparalleled access to top quality expertise, technology and services, which will help them grow and manage their business. We are excited to welcome the Jotaerre team to the Vistra family.”

Jair Vitoreli, partner of Jotaerre, says: “The combination of skills and talent that Vistra and Jotaerre professionals will bring to the table can only benefit our clients for the years to come. I would like to thank Vistra for their support thus far, and we are grateful for the collaboration and mutual respect we hold for one another.”

Jotaerre will be rebranded to Vistra in due course.

In addition to enhancing its presence in Brazil, last year Vistra acquired the Tokyo-based accounting firm Routes Business Supports.
