KDPW, the Central Securities Depository of Poland, has been authorised to issue legal entity identifiers (LEIs) to companies registered in Armenia, following an extension to its accreditation.
The extension will enable KDPW to work with the Central Depository of Armenia (CDA) to create a local LEI issuance service, and aims to support the development of transparency within the region’s financial markets.
The prevalence of LEIs will also strengthen competitiveness among financial institutions within Armenia, as well as growth across distribution channels and new foreign markets, the firm says.
LEI is a 20-character alpha-numeric sequence, which is linked to key information about the legal entity that holds the LEI.
