Maple Finance, an onchain asset manager, has established a relationship with IRACE Digital Bank to support some of Maple’s TradFi market processes, including institutional cash management, fiat banking, payments, and settlement.
IRACE is providing the banking infrastructure necessary to move fiat efficiently between Maple and its institutional counterparties.
IRACE says the addition of Maple to its client base is an “important milestone” in its goal of becoming “the regulated banking infrastructure connecting traditional and digital financial markets”.
The bank is also expanding its institutional operations and its digital asset capabilities across its regulated jurisdictions.
Other IRACE group firms are pursuing additional licenses to expand digital asset capabilities to other regions.
Commenting on the partnership, John Cronin, global CEO at IRACE Digital Bank, says that Maple has built “one of the leading institutional credit platforms in digital assets and IRACE provides the regulated banking infrastructure needed to connect that activity with traditional financial markets”, and this is “exactly the type of client and use case IRACE was built to serve”.
Sid Powell, CEO and co-founder of Maple, adds: “As we deploy capital across fixed-income and credit markets, the banking layer has to operate at the same standard as our lending book, and that's what we're building with the team at IRACE Digital.”
