Northern Trust Asset Management has announced that its full exchange traded fund (ETF) lineup now operates as Northern Trust ETFs.
The move brings 27 FlexShares ETFs together with the 12 Northern Trust ETFs introduced over the past year under a single Northern Trust ETFs platform.
Northern Trust says that the unified brand more clearly connects the firm’s ETF lineup to its investment capabilities and brand, and creates a more consistent experience for investors and advisors across the firm’s investment solutions.
The transition to the Northern Trust ETFs name does not affect the investment objectives, portfolio management teams, ticker symbols, or investment processes of the funds.
Investors continue to have access to the same ETF strategies and investment expertise.
Michael Hunstad, Ph.D., president at Northern Trust Asset Management, says: “ETFs are an important part of how we deliver Northern Trust Asset Management’s investment expertise to a broad range of investors.
“Bringing our full ETF lineup together under the Northern Trust brand marks a significant milestone in the development of our platform, as we grow our ETF offerings through new product innovation and investment solutions centred on evolving client needs.”
Dave Abner, global head of ETFs and Funds at Northern Trust Asset Management, adds: “We are focused on developing ETF solutions that meet the needs of investors and advisors today while anticipating the ways they will build portfolios in the future.
“Our ETFs are grounded in Northern Trust’s legacy of creating customised solutions for sophisticated investors and our commitment to addressing the portfolio challenges that matter most to them.”
