Fund Recs launches Fund Recs AI Ops

Fund Recs, an oversight layer for the fund industry, today has launched its agentic platform and a new AI-enabled managed service, Fund Recs AI Ops.

Together they aim to extend the company's no-code data workflow and reconciliation platform into agentic operations, while keeping the governance model that regulated firms depend on.

The agentic platform is built as a family of specialised agents rather than a single general-purpose assistant.

Each agent does one job; answering a user's question, extracting data from a document, resolving a break, creating a new control, clustering exceptions, and each plugs into a shared foundation layer built on the open Model Context Protocol (MCP) standard.

That foundation gives every agent a single governed interface to the Fund Recs platform — authenticated, fully audited, and inheriting the permissions of the user it is acting for.

Alan Meaney, CEO and co-founder of Fund Recs, says: “Automating a process and being trusted to oversee it are two different problems and this industry has spent far more time on the first. Firms are being asked to supervise more data, more asset classes, and more counterparties, on shorter cycles, with the same teams.

“Agents can absorb an enormous amount of that preparation work. But an agent that cannot show you its source, cannot be audited, and cannot be overruled has no place anywhere near a control that a regulator or a board relies on. That is the line we have built to.”

Brian Lehane, head of Fund Recs AI Ops, adds: “Managed services in this industry have traditionally meant more people doing the same work somewhere cheaper. AI Operations is a different proposition.

“The agents compress the preparation, our people apply the judgement and the client keeps full visibility of both. Clients get capacity without giving up control of their controls.”
