Margaret Harwood-Jones has been named as the new chair of the International Securities Services Association (ISSA) Board.

In addition to her new responsibilities as chair, Harwood-Jones currently acts as global head of financing and securities services at Standard Chartered, where she provides strategic leadership for the securities services and prime product businesses.

She brings over thirty years of experience within the securities services industry, having held senior leadership positions across a number of financial firms including BNP Paribas and HSBC.

Harwood-Jones is also a chartered individual of the securities and investment institute, as well as an associate of the institute of bankers.

She takes over the role from Vicky Kyproglou, managing director at UBS, who spent two years overseeing the organisation's agenda.
