GC Exchange (GCEX) has appointed Mohammed A.Mulla as a board member of their Dubai based entity part of GCEX (GCEX Group).
GCEX is a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) regulated by the Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA) in the United Arab Emirates and is authorised as a broker dealer.
Mohammed A.Mulla was the founding vice president for MENA and Asia at Finalto (formerly CFH) where he worked for over 16 years.
He conceived and launched Noor Clearing in 2019, a strategic partnership between Finalto and Noor Capital, which was transitioning from its regulation with the UAE Central Bank to Securities and Commodities Authority.
In 2007 he started his capital markets career as a sales associate (EMEA) at ODL Securities in the UK, following an earlier role as an auditor at Ernst & Young in Saudi Arabia.
Lars Holst, founder and CEO, GCEX, remarks, “Having worked with Mohammed since the inception of CFH for almost a decade and having followed his career ever since, he brings significant regional acumen, an impressive track record and an exceptionally strong network.
"I am thrilled to have him join our team to help us capitalise on the growth opportunities regionally and globally.”
Mohammed A. Mulla adds: “This is an exciting career move for me. Lars is a visionary and has built GCEX's crypto offering around principles that I strongly believe in: STP access to Tier 1 liquidity, no conflict of interest with clients, and a commitment to building long-term mutually beneficial client relationships.
"He has also attracted an impressive and highly experienced team to build on this vision, including some of my former colleagues from CFH, whom I am looking forward to working with again.”
